Re: Motor saga

Ken, Sounds like progress in the correct direction! As to gaskets, make sure the new ones are not like the old Fel-Pro Print-O-Seals that didn't have any steel shim core, so after a few dozen heat cycles they would creep outward and fail. We ended up calling them Fail-Pro Print-O-Leaks. Here's an ex...

Hard to believe it's yet another Christmas!

So this thread goes to the top - again - and happy holidays to one and all! :ymparty:

Re: Motor saga

Ken, At the risk of getting hit over the head with a used valve guide because I am sure you don't want to hear this, I need to say (again) "if you buy quality, you only cry once." Been there - probably still there - I'm a notoriously slow learner... Hate to say this but I'd go for the new stuff. Day...

Re: Motor saga

Ken, Lest you think you are in the minority in the "shoot yourself in the foot" business, I need to correct that impression. I took the Cobra's front end apart because after 38K miles the front wheel bearings developed some play, and the brake disks were worn. Any rational human would probably have ...

Re: DSCC Reptile Roundup

Here's one more photo from the Reptile Roundup courtesy of Craig Harper of Backdraft and his drone: AmMusclecar1web.jpg This is the American Musclecar Museum in Melbourne - a private museum with its own 15,000 square foot shop area (top left rear of photo), its own solar panel system, autocross venu...

Re: Daytona Rod Run/Flea Market 11/23/2018

cHarley,

I see there are some $38 roundtrip flights from Philly to Daytona. Dunno if any are available for that day, but if they are you could be there much more than in spirit!

Just sayin'

Daytona Rod Run/Flea Market 11/23/2018

A bunch of us are going to this: https://www.daytonabeach.com/events/fall-festivals/turkey-run/ We are going the Friday after Thanksgiving. I think I have two seats left in the van if anyone else is interested. Probably leaving my house at 6:45AM, then from Mike's about 20 minutes later. Let me know...

RIP Tony Castellano

Tony Castellano: RIP He was truly one of the good guys - one of the very best. Gave his electrons back to the universe yesterday according to Mike. Here's Tony at Daytona pit crewing for the Zephyr last year: PDX pit with Tony and truck bed open.jpg Tony was a key person in the Zephyr's building pro...

Re: RIP Herb Smith, Carb Czar

Mike, I need one too... Here's a copy of my post on the Capital Area Cobra Club site: I haven't been able to post anything 'til now because I cloud up and rain when I start. Now it's time. It's clear there's a common thread in the posts remembering Herb; he truly loved helping others, and did so gen...
