Motor Parts

WooHoo! Waiting for the "Big Brown" truck...Lots of motor parts on the way.

The parts supplier called me back even thou he was at a show in Indianapolis In. As with most eBay items mine was not quite as advertised. It turned out that I have a World Class cluster, case and input shaft. All the rest of the parts are non-world class so it is a bit of a hybrid.(how's that for u...

Transmission Damage

I thought I would start a new post for the transmission as it looks like it is going to be a bit involved. I got the rebuild/overhaul kit from what appears to be one of the foremost builders of T-5 and other mussel car manual transmissions. He even wrote a book on it and has very nice YouTube videos...

Funny you mention that. I just said the same thing a couple of hours ago to my wife. I've ordered the rebuild kit with all bearings, shims, synchronizers, clips and springs. I have the how to YouTube videos bookemarked and ready to start. I had bought a 2 DVD instruction set when I built it the firs...

Yes all SBC's have a pipe plug on each side. It makes it a lot easier to manage the water. I had heard that some tracks don't want anti-freeze so I added these to drain and save (with a hose on the petcock) the anti-freeze if needed.

No they are an old Trick Flow design."Twisted Wedge" They don't make them any more. Had to get special intake rockers to make it work.

Sometimes it the little things we make that we can be most proud of. I'm using the cam over so I made this to keep the lifters and pushrods in order. I might have even saved $29.95 from Summit Racing.
