The engine is running in the car (woohoo) and I am able to shift the gears while running.

Won’t be long now. (I see at least a 2 day clean and polish in my future).

With Chevy's, all the distributers are the same.....one less thing to stop the progress as things get bolted together...(small dig to Tom)

Sounds like good progress.
As I recall my MSD distributor came out of the box with the two heavy springs and the black button. So I think the DPO (dreaded previous owner) just dropped the new distributor in with no setup.

LookIng forward to seeing the GT on the road.
