Shiny stuff has arrived.

It almost seems like a shame to put all these pretty parts in a hot hole and make them go up and down real fast.

Nice stuff Ken, that had to put a healthy hit on your bank account...but clearly worth it! :ymapplause:

Btw Pike, you realize that stuff is pure Chevy goodness, don't ya? :W:

Yep, I stepped it up a little bit. Went with forged pistons this time, I-beam rods with 7/16 arp bolts and floating wrist pins.
Compression should be right at 10.5.
4.155 bore with 3.875 stroke....421Ci.

Cam and heads are the same....had to same the budget somewhere..lol.

Chevy goodness.....

Well, to be honest, I kinda remember reading something a while ago about Chevy power.....but then got hit thinking there’s another member here, nameless of course ..] , who also cleaves to Bow tie power..... :D

Ahh, it’s all good. Besides, they really are gorgeous parts. Pistons, anyway. Ken, why no H-beam rods? They are a little heavier, true, but boy o boy are they strong.

Lookin forward to gazing enviously upon the voluptuous form of your GT, Mike. (v)

My research indicated they hit in too many places in the stock block with the longer stroke.

Ugh. Die grinder work. It is the pits. Can’t be faulted for wanting to avoid that.

Gonna make nice power. All Chevys do.....just in their bones.

Pike,
Sounds like you might be coming around to the light side, let me know when you're ready to drop a nice bowtie into that beautiful Unique... :D

I've given up on Tom, he bleeds Ford blue... O}

I'm doing my best to get the GT up and running, but I have a coolant leak behind the instrument panel that I haven't yet been able to find and resolve.
