spinner tool

Post by cobra1151 »

Hi y'all,

Bought this spinner tool a few months back and finally got to use it yesterday. Worked like a charm. It attaches to the wheel and pulls on the spinner to loosen it. There is no need to have the wheel in contact with the ground which sometimes binds the spinner therefore making it difficult to loosen. I tightened the tool and hit the other two ears of the spinner with a lead hammer so as not to put undue stress on the tool. Tighten hit tighten hit about 4 times and the spinner was loose. The hammer sustained very minimal damage It took me approximately 20 min to loosen 3 wheels and as I got more proficient the last wheel took less than 5 min. I would recommend this tool to anyone with knock off spinners.

Note: I had to modify the tool to fit on 18" wheels. It is designed to work on 15" thru 17" wheels.
