DSCC lunch 2-2-2020 Sebring

Post by Tom Wells »

Here's the notice from Facebook:
It's time for our winter lunch run. We will be meeting for lunch on Sunday February 2nd, at:

Cody's Roadhouse
521 US 27 N
Sebring Florida 33870

We realize this is SuperBowl Sunday, we should be finished in time for everyone to get back home in time to watch the game.

We will meet at Cody's at 11am.

Let us know if you are coming and want to caravan from your area. Mike Trainor will be leading a group from SW Florida, if you want to lead a group from your part of the state, let us know and we can get the word out.

I've done this a few times - it's about 200 miles each way from my house. Anyone up for it? \:D/

Sorry Tom,
My son is flying in that day from Rhode Island and staying for a week.
So I can't attend, Too bad because I would love to. If you guys want to do a lunch ride some time during the week he is here I think he would be
"OVERJOYED" . He is arriving on ( 02-02-2020 ) and leaving on ( 02-08-2020 ). How about it anyone up for it?

Carl,

I just had an idea O}

If your son flew into Sebring, we could take him to lunch, then he could ride to your house!

If you need more really great ideas, just ask :))

Hi Tom,

Nice try but unfortunately his flights are all booked. I also just realized that my membership to the DSCC expired awhile ago.
So I don't think I am allowed to participate in any Reindeer games ~~(:: ~~(:: ~~(:: . I guess I'll have to re-up .
The problem is we have to reserve campsites as much as a year in advance and in the past the DSCC events conflict.

Carl

P.S. So anyone up for a lunch ride to give my son a thrill?

Carl,

By all means, re-up!

I'm around all that week, so if the weather's any good at all, let's go driving.

Sounds great Tom. I know Derek would love it. Going to lunch with one Cobra is nice but when there is more than one it's a whole different experience.
I'm hoping for more people to join in. Derek is a car nut like me.
I will watch the weather closely.

Anyone else interested? Let me know your schedule and I'll set a date that's best to accommodate.

Thanks,
Carl

Carl,

How about starting a new thread when you get firmer date(s)?

One option would be the fried chicken place north of JAX on 17 in Kingsland - Steffens.

I'm hoping to go Sunday if my back allows it...

We should probably meet at Mike's house at 7AM.

Looks like I got confused on the lunch threads.
I'll be at Mikes if the weather stays nice for the Sebring run. Hope you can make it Tom.
