side pipe fabricator

Post by bfitz241 »

Does anyone know of a dependable fabricator in NE FL?
I had custom sidepipes built for my car. They turned out to be a disappointment and I definitely didn't get my money's worth.
I'd like to see if they can be modified to work better, and I can't do that kind of work.
The issue is:
when the guy made them, he placed the metal band that hold the packing in the muffler section very close to the primary tube and said metal blocks half the primary where it enters the pipe.
I'd like to have all that moved back or maybe even change the muffler type.
Pipes are stainless, would need to be cut open and welded back up.
It's never easy, is it?

bfitz,

My go-to guy here for exhaust work in St Augustine is Ricky Molner at https://www.ricksmufflerman.com/

He's good and quite reasonable. You can mention my name to him and you might not have to duck

Thanks for that.
I will keep that info.
Sidepipe project shelved for now, having "issues" with my trans now. (TKO 600). I know people say they're great but this one must be a lemon. Not looking forward to pulling it.....again.
