Hurricane Helene

Well, we're back! Hurricane Helene gave us about 6" of rain night before last and a steady wind up to about 45mph for 10 hours or so. Lots of branches and tree litter but no damage thank goodness. Then about 12 hours after it left and we were 1/3 of the way through trying to clean up, a nearby ...

If I get any stutters from the Z I can just put a similar deflector on it.

Uh, what would you know about running in the rain anyway? :angry-tappingfoot:

A few more pictures; first the new distributor and coil in place: Coil and distributor.JPG Then the modified hood opening: Hood cutout.JPG Finally the modified scoop: Scoop 1.JPG Scoop 2.JPG The scoop ended up 2-1/4" farther forward because of the extended cutout for the distributor. Still awaiting ...

Re: Squirrels

Mike, I feel your pain :angry-cussingblack: I have 2 feeders the same as the lower one in your photograph. A few days ago I noticed a squirrel upside down on one of them. When he was finished exploring the feeder he had big trouble climbing back up the wire it hangs from. It was comical! Kay and I ...

Re: Daytona 8_2_2024

Ken,

Nice! Maximum envy!

I backed out of Mike's driveway a bit after 6AM intending to join you in the fun. The car decided otherwise by springing a leak in a radiator hose between the engine and the water pump - a minimum hour-long job on my car...

It's all fixed now. Next time!

Mike at work sanding down the wheel posts: IMG_3361.JPG The sander comes from a company in Brooklyn NY called the Ellward Mfg Co founded in 1946, closed before 2003. The next picture is the motor information plate. No idea how old it is, but probably almost as old as Mike, at least! IMG_3362.JPG The ...

Re: AN fitting hack

I like it! May be better than the Koul tools. Or maybe not.

If I try it I think I'll wear a stout glove instead of just some tats...

EDIT: Is that stainless covered tubing? Or is it braided nylon?
