Good stuff! Predictably I like the Godzilla option

I did a major Ubuntu Linux upgrade and put the site into suspended animation apparently.

The result of nearly 36 hours of debugging including trying stuff I hadn't heard of before. At long last I did a complete uninstall and reinstall of the php packages. Finally...
