Hurricane Helene

Well, we're back!
Hurricane Helene gave us about 6" of rain night before last and a steady wind up to about 45mph for 10 hours or so. Lots of branches and tree litter but no damage thank goodness.
Then about 12 hours after it left and we were 1/3 of the way through trying to clean up, a nearby transformer decided to explode, leaving us without power from 1PM to 8PM yesterday. So I got out the generator to keep the fridges going and rigged up a tether to a cell phone to get a little bit of internet. Now for more putting away and cleanup.
We fared infinitely better than some on the Gulf Coast and all the way up past Asheville...
Hope your experience was OK!
