Some pictures sent by a friend I hadn't seen in nearly 60 years; Robbie Cupit, Glenn's younger brother. We got reacquainted at Glenn's Masonic service in New Orleans June 25, 2016:

A couple of shots from the Hammond drag strip in Louisiana circa 1956 (OMG - 60 years ago!) A hood was required to run (who knew?) by the NHRA Safety Safari, so my pit crew "found" a piece of aluminum and made one. It may have said "STOP" or something like that on the bottom side:

And one with David Wisdom circa 1957 near my great aunt's house in uptown New Orleans, taken after the flathead was replaced with a 1950 Oldsmobile V8 sporting 303 cubic inches. Shortly afterward, a 1954 vintage 324 cubic inch Oldsmobile went in, equipped with a McCullough centrifugal supercharger. Haven't found any photos of that one yet:
